Abstract

This article discusses the possibility of using Fourier-Stokes-polarimetry to study the structure of polycrystalline networks of biological tissues. The interrelation between the set of statistical moments of the 1st - 4th order, characterizing the coordinate distribution of the azimuth and ellipticity of the Fourier spectra of polarization-inhomogeneous images of biological tissues and the optical anisotropy parameters of polycrystalline networks, is demonstrated.
