Article Structure
- The article should begin with a short (up to 4 lines) abstract in Ukrainian and English, which should contain a concise and precisely formulated statement of the problem and the main results. The volume of the abstract should be approximately 1800 characters. Next, a list of (up to 10) keywords (or word combinations) of the article is indicated;
- Next, an introduction must be submitted, written in a form accessible to a wide range of specialists in this field of science. The introduction should include:
- statement of the question considered in the article;
- brief information about the history of this question;
- explanations of where and when this question arises in the process of solving a certain problem.
- The main text of the article sets out and thoroughly explains the obtained statements and results. Materials necessary for a deeper understanding of the content of the article (mathematical proofs and transformations, results of experimental studies confirming theoretical propositions, etc.) are placed in the appendix.
The article should not be overloaded with an excessive number of formulas, duplication of the same results in formulas, tables and graphs. It is advisable to avoid long table names, use the notations and abbreviations used in the manuscript. The notations and little-known terms used in the article must be explained.
- The final part should contain an example (if possible) that illustrates the effectiveness of the results obtained, and conclusions that reflect new information obtained by the author (authors), and recommendations for their practical application. Conclusions and recommendations must fully correspond to the content of the main text.
The article can be divided into sections with titles and appropriate numbering that reflect their content. The introduction and conclusions are not numbered.
Article size (in accordance with the requirements of the journal's article format):
- overview-generalization nature - up to 16 pages of A4 format;
- problem-based nature - up to 11 pages of A4 format;
- on solving a specific scientific problem - up to 7 pages of A4 format;
- in the form of a short report on the achieved result - up to 3 pages of A4 format.
Manuscripts of articles exceeding the specified volumes are not accepted for consideration by the editorial board, except for those that are agreed and approved by a collective decision of the journal's editorial board.
- At the end of the article, a brief information about the authors is provided in both languages, indicating the surname and initials of the authors, academic degree, academic title, position, name of the unit (department) and organization, its location (city, country).
Requirements for the design of the article manuscript
The article must be prepared in Ukrainian or English.
- To prepare the article, use the MS WORD for WINDOWS text editor, using the Times New Roman (Cyr) font, 10 pt. The article should be printed on one side of A4 sheets (margins: left and right – 2.5 cm, top – 3 cm, bottom – 2.5 cm) with a line spacing of at least 12 pt. All pages of the article should be numbered – the page number and the authors’ surnames are indicated in pencil on the back of each page in the center.
- In the upper left corner of the article, the UDC index or the corresponding international coding index must be indicated (10 pt, in capital letters, aligned to the left edge). Skipping one line, the authors’ surnames and initials are printed (10 pt, in capital, bold letters, aligned to the left edge). Skipping one line – the title of the article – 14 pt, in capital bold letters, aligned to the left. Skipping one line – the name of the organization, on a new line – its location (address, city, country), and if possible, contact details (phones, fax, e-mail, WWW – site) of the organization or personal contact details of each author (10 pt, in italics, bold letters, aligned to the left). Then, skipping one line, annotations are provided (in Ukrainian, English) and, on a new line, a list of keywords (8 pt, aligned to the right). Then, skipping one line, the main text of the article follows (10 pt, alignment – across the entire width of the page).
- The International System (SI) units must be used in the article.
- Formulas and notations are typed in the internal formula editor of MS WORD. Each formula is typed as one object: full: Times New Roman 12 pt.
It is necessary to observe the difference in writing uppercase and lowercase letters, especially such as C and c, K and k, P and p, U and u, V and v, W and w. Fractional numbers should be written through a comma, for example: 3.14159265.
- Variants of submitting illustrations:
included (without OLE connection) in the text of the article, after the first reference to it.
Note: It is not allowed to use the graphic editor included in MS WORD for WINDOWS to create illustrations; or
- in the form of files in TIFF, JPG, GIF format, each as a separate file and printed in 2 copies; or
- in the form of drawings made in black ink or paste using drawing equipment in two copies, each on a separate sheet of A4 format; or
- photographs (2 copies), which must be high-quality, clear and contrasting. On the back of each illustration (photograph) its serial number and the surname of the authors are indicated in pencil.
If the illustrations are not included in the text, then their captions must be printed on one separate sheet of A4 format.
- Each table should be printed with an appropriate title and numbering, if there is more than one.
Illustrations and tables, depending on the size, should be placed in a frame or across the entire width of the page.
- The list of references is drawn up according to the standard of the international publication "Elsevier" and is presented as a general list at the end of the article. The list is compiled in the order of references in the text (and not alphabetically).
In the text of the article, references to literature are placed in square brackets (for example, [1,2] ). References to works that have not yet been published are not allowed.
Examples of bibliographical references can be found at the following link: https://www.elsevier.com/__data/promis_misc/apmrformat.pdf
- After the list of literary sources, a short information about the authors is indicated, skipping one line, where the following are indicated separately for each of the authors: surname and initials, academic degree, academic title, position, name of the unit (department) and organization, city, country.
