Abstract

The influence of the relationships between the main pigments, namely chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and carotenoids on the spectral characteristics of aqueous media with phytoplankton particles, was studied. The spectral characteristics of the scattering index, the anisotropy factor, the effective scattering and attenuation parameters, the part of the light scattered into the forward hemisphere, the probability of photon survival, the attenuation index in the small-angle approximation, the transmission coefficient and the diffuse reflection coefficient for one layer of an aqueous medium with specified structural and pigment parameters of phytoplankton, as well as spectral characteristics of the total coefficient of diffuse reflection on the surface one medium.
