ANTI-PLAGIARISM POLICY

“Optoelectronic information–power technologies” accepts for publication only original materials that have not been published before. The journal uses the StrikePlagiarism software to control text borrowing in submitted manuscripts. The editorial board of the publication believes that plagiarism in scientific publications is a violation of the system of norms of professional conduct in the relations between authors, reviewers, editors, publishers and readers, which contradicts the provisions of the Publication Ethics section.

The editorial board of the publication analyzes all cases of recorded plagiarism and reserves the right to prevent the manuscript from being submitted for review. Scientific works received by the journal editorial board are analyzed according to the following indicators:

  • if the originality of the text is more than 80%, then the material is accepted for consideration;
  • from 70 to 80% of the originality of the text - the author needs to check the correctness of the citations and references to the sources used;
  • less than 70% originality of the text – the material is not accepted for consideration.

More than 3% plagiarism from a single source is not allowed.

The percentage of plagiarism is calculated using software that checks documents for borrowings both in the local database and on the Internet. The resulting report is analyzed by the editorial board.

If the fact of text borrowing was recorded after publication, the editorial board conducts a thorough analysis of it. The editorial board of the journal will necessarily contact the author and inform about the circumstances that arose. If a violation of publication ethics regarding plagiarism in scientific articles is confirmed, the article may be withdrawn.
