Abstract

The article investigates the features of designing and evaluating databases (DB) for medical information systems (HIS). It examines the modern paradigm of transition to digital ecosystems and the role of HL7 FHIR and DICOM standards in ensuring interoperability. Particular attention is paid to the mathematical justification of design quality using Halstead metrics, queuing theory (M/M/1 model), and Kingman's formula for performance analysis. The author proposes a methodology for calculating an integral DB quality indicator, considering complexity, speed, reliability, and resource efficiency. The design stages based on DFD and ERD models are defined, and the advantages of hybrid architecture combining relational and NoSQL solutions for protecting sensitive medical data according to Ukrainian legislation are analyzed.
